KDÚ/THE SPORTY. The letters "kdú" means Carlos Duque, the visionary behind this brand, whose passion for designing and crafting sportswear originated at an early age. Hailing from the beautiful port of Acapulco in Guerrero, Mexico, Carlos Duque carries with him the spirit of that coastal paradise, where his childhood was infused with sports and water activities, thus nurturing his skill and dedication to the world of sports fashion.

For years, he has cherished ideas, experiences, and skills, preserving them in sketches, designs, and paper documents, always longing for these representations to emerge and materialize. Thus, in mid-2023, he took the first steps toward this vision conceived decades ago, culminating in its full realization in the early months of 2024. This creation has the potential to grow and expand as a nationally and internationally recognized brand.

Our creations have been conceived with the vision of reaching people worldwide, though we pay special attention to those who enjoy skateboarding. With dedication, passion, and profound respect, each garment is meticulously designed, blending elements of the old West with the distinctive features of everyday life on the West Coast of the United States, particularly the peculiarities of California.

Likewise, we believe it is paramount to infuse in each design a reflection of our rich culture and values, extending beyond the geographical boundaries of California the essence, spirit, and style characteristic of the West, appealing to both the youth and those who identify with these principles.

Another of our fundamental goals is to establish this brand as an indispensable pillar of the fashion industry, dedicating tireless efforts to its versatility and uniqueness. Moreover, we aim to offer an intrinsic duality in designing each garment, whether for use in sports activities or as an elegant option for casual wear, adapting gracefully to various social settings.

To embark on this journey, I have assembled a team composed of members of my own family. We are convinced that this choice will enable us to convey to each of our clients the love, warmth, and positive feelings we wish to instill in every garment they carry.
